Glock 34 ejection problems after mounting Deltapoint

Mounted a Leupold Deltapoint on a Gen 3 Glock 34 and now the brass hits my chest and arms. Before mounting the sight the gun reliably ejected about 10 feet at 4:00.

After firing 100 shots today, literally 90% of the brass was at my feet.

Obviously the extra mass of the slide is causing the issue (at least that's my theory). Anyone else experienced this? If so, what fix worked?

I'd run a lighter recoil spring and or change ammo.

90% of the brass right there to be picked up? Wear a thicker shirt and count your blessings if it cycles.

Curious on the lifetime total round count on the the G34?
If it's around the 800-1200 count, might not be the sights.

Nice sights btw, how do you like it, on target/held zero, etc.

^There are plenty of post that brass to face (erratic ejection) started around those round count.
Mine was flawless until the the 1k mark (G19), and progressive worse until I replaced the extractor and RSA.

Those red dot are not even that heavy, hate to think that caused such a difference in slide mass/cycling.

Could you remove the sight and try again with the same ammo?

No, it's not from a dot mounted on the slide, something else is going on. I have Trijicon slide mounted dots on 2 of my open guns, and the brass goes the same way it always did. You have a problem with the extractor.

Yea, I want. I was going to switch out to Warren/Sevigny sights on my 34 and 35 but maybe on one of them I should go Mr. Highlander's route just to switch it up.

The problem was most definitely caused by mounting the sight. The gun has at least 2500 through it and it runs like a champ. Yesterday it worked flawlessly with the exact same ammo.

Last night I mounted the sight, today it barely ejects the cases. It's not quite a btf issue, as the cases don't get that high.

The recoil spring was replaced at around 2000 rounds.

Literally the only difference is the sight.

I would believe the weight of the Leupold Deltapoint and mount is about the same as a Doctor or Trijijcon red dot. You will need a lighter spring to throw the brass, try a 13 lb ISMI. They are flat wound and can go on the OEM recoil assy. The G17L in the pic has over 15,000 rounds thru it and I only change the recoil spring assy when it fails to close battery from a vertical position which on some of my G17's has been years.
