i shoot better with the P7M8 than the P228, so it never did it for me. although, i do like the P225 and would never consider parting with it.

Enjoy the hotrod. I bought a P7M13 in Germany many years back and it is still my pride and joy. Welcome to the cult.

PS. be very thorough when cleaning the gas system, otherwise that phenomenal accuracy will slide.

Which one did you get? The anniversarry Jubilee one?

How much did it set you back?

                    I want one

I bought mine off a LASD buddy whop bought it off a NYPD detective. When I got it, I had it sent off to RoBar and had it NP3d. Its pretty cool but would rather have hard chromed after the fact.

Oh man, I totally agree about the hard chrome.. Dr. Lunde has some beautiful examples of hard chroming...Im totally jealous of that guy's collection....!!!!

As is, I might pick up another used P7 if I can find it cheap. Im really hesitant to HC this one. The bluing on it is still pretty damn good. There's a very very miniscule shade of plum to it.. I'll see how it looks after some CLP. It'll probably darken right up. The previous owner never fired it and stated that the owner before him never fired it either!!??!?! I've looked at it fairly closely, and while I'm not sure of these statements 100%, I would say it's been very very well taken care of.. But none of this bothers me. The piston rings are quite sharp and theres only a slight bit of wear on one of the magazines from insertion. The other magazine looks BRAND NEW!!! Theres no holster wear so I dont htink it was ever used as a carry piece. Probably a safe queen.

I may be the 3rd in the hierarchy of owners, but Im fairly confidant it wont see another one in my lifetime

p.s. I bought the regular edition, I've seen the Jubilee and personally find nothing that special about it. sure it's limited edition and may carry it's value down the road, but I dont have hte luxury of buying it to keep it as a collectors item..I dont have a safe, and therefore dont have any safe queens... If I could, I would shoot this thing into the next century..!!!

I cant rmemeber the date code right now, but it has Sterling, VA stamped on the side.. but the best part is that it DOES NOT HAVE THE FUGLY WARNING!!!!!! i know you can have it removed..but i'd rather leave this one unmodified for as long as I can. It set me back $600 bucks..!!!!

ok ok I lie, it was right around 1.2k with FFL, DROS, and shipping fees.

The mags run about $50 but they're built like tanks and will probably last many, many years. Try HkPro's for sale section to locate them.

My P7M8 is my favorite and most accurate handgun. Welcome to the cult!
