    S&W Schofield (Perf Cntr) Value?

    Hi,
The other day, a fellow CAS shooter asked if I'd trade my 2000 S&W Perf Cntr Schofield for his Spencer carbine. I'm guessing these Taylor Spencers are prolly worth @ $850-$1000.
My revolver has less than a box through it and is in 98% condition.

How much is this pistol worth? I've seen them on Gunbroker for $2K but don't think they sell for that much, right?

They are valued 1,100-1,300 for yours since you shot it. I would love to have one. If you don't want a Spencer's carbine for trade and looking for something else let me know. I have been wanting a Schofield for a few years now.

Ask to shoot the Spencer first if you consider the trade; some have reliability issues. What calibre is the Spencer?
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

I'll tell him I'd trade for the Spencer plus $500 cash, that should make it about right for my $1,100-1,300 SW Schofield.

        It's a .44 russian.

He says it's not reliable enough for CAS matches (plus it only holds 8 rounds). So, I guess the trade's off for now.
If someone has a cowboy rifle in .44spl or russian, I'd consider a trade.

I'll post something in the Want Ads maybe next week.

          Thanks guys.
