M&P! I just brought mine home last night! Talk about comfortable and pointing naturally.

Sig Pro 2022. High end quality without the high end price with a really sweet trigger.

Recently tried out a S&W M&P in .40. I was really impressed. Felt really comfortable in my small/medium hands. I like the sights and trigger compared with other polymer guns I've tried. Easy to shoot, surprised recoil seemed so low. Only shot one other .40 a USP definitely liked the M&P a lot more.

I looked into the Steyer and it seems to be on a nat'l back order. Im leaning heavily towards the M&P but we will see this weekend at the range...

Check Gunbroker for the Steyr. I just picked one up off of there, had the seller ship it without mags and got some 10 rounders from CDNN. The Steyr is absolutely worth the extra effort, it's a truly excellent gun with the best DAO trigger I've ever felt.

Well, it looks like the Smith&Wesson M&P is the winner! Cant wait to get this baby home. I hate Cali waiting periods...

I see that on the m&P .45 that there is a thumb safety, but does anybody know if you can get the thumb safety installed on a .40 instead of the keyed safety?

Light weight. Easier to carry all day if you have to pack a bunch of other stuff with you.

I picked up my M&P .40 yesterday afternoon and went straight to the range for a shakedown. Went through about 400 rounds. I love this gun!!

They should be releasing the S40-A1 (small frame) here in the summer and I'm really looking forward to getting one.

I think it is literally one of the best guns on the market, and seriously under-rated.

                              +1,

I bought one last year and it is fast becoming my favorite lightweight pistol. (Nohing will ever replace a good 1911 for me)

The only problem is that Wifezilla loves it and she wants to keep it with a laser mounted for the house gun but I bought it to get back into competition and I want to use it for that.

I'm going to have to buy her another polymer gun with a rail just to get it back.
