    M&P 22 barrel threaded?

I have a CA M&P22 legal. I notice online that it has a threaded barrel. Are these guns the all the same and the cap not being able to un thread for an adaptor because of the groves not being present?

If it's CA legal, it cannot have a threaded barrel. Semi-auto pistol with removable magazine and threaded barrel = Assault Weapon. If they put a cap over the threads and permanently attached the cap via solder or welded pin or something, it would be fine per the law.

Yep, mine is a CA compliant, says so on the slide. But the barell sims to have a unscrewable cap. Just got me curious what made it CA legal besides the magazine.

Yeah "seems to" and "has" are different. If it comes off and there are threads on the barrel, you have an Assault Weapon and you need to fix that immediately (for starters, take the gun apart. Then contact S&W for a new, compliant barrel). Most likely, it is permanently attached, which means it's fully legal.
