    Gen 1 Glock?

I've got a Glock 19 purchased in early 1992. I'm think this is gen 1. But my question is really, are there people out there that prefer a gen 1 Glock for some reason over a 2 or 3?

    thanks,

I'd keep it, want it just for the history.
It would be neat having every generation of the best handgun design on planet earth.

there were very few Gen 1 G19s manufactured. if you have one, it is very rare and with high value. i'd guess that your G19 may be a Gen 2 G19; i believe the Generation 2 G19 first came into production in 1988.

i like the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Glocks the most; i prefer non-railed to railed, and i like the grip area better on earlier Glocks.

I would love a clean Gen 1 G17...why oh why did I sell mine?

Welcome to Cal Guns...!..Plenty of nice people here.

A gen2 G19 is a great gun. I am sure it's had the free GLOCK upgrade? (internals replaced).

I bought my first GLOCK 17 in 1987. Had a couple of Gen1 G17s; sold them a couple of years ago.

Still have a Gen2 G17 from July 1992; my 15 year old daughter loves that Glock and enjoys shooting it.

Didn't know there was a gen 2 Glock 19. FWIW, the gen 2 17s are my favorite.

I'd love to get a couple of Gen1 Glocks just because of the history...but I wouldn't pay much of a premium for them.

No, no, what you have is very special! The Glock 19 Gen2 is arguably the BEST work horse gun ever made. If not the best gun definitely the best Glock ever made.

if your glock has marks like this then it is special and worth more money to collectors than a standard gen 2.

Oh, i'd love to add a Gen 1 17 to the collection.
