    CZ 9mm Mag Interchangeability

I may be moving out of state sometime in the not too distant future and a friend is willing to buy higher capacity mags for me and hold until I get there. Since I will likely be staying with the CZ brand, wondering if CZ mags (9mm) with greater than a capacity of 10 will fit most all CZs. ???

Depends. My SP-01 mags will fit the CZ 75 but not my Tactical Sports. If the mag is engineered for the gun, capacity shouldn't matter. My 10 round mags work just as well as when I travel to Nevada and assemble and use the 18 to 20's.

Remember the 10 round mags are not the standard mags, the larger ones are.

Because why? They don't seat home?

The release slot and height of mag is the same on all CZ's other than the non B models. Unless the mag is too short to seat (like a rami mag in a 75B) it will work.

I think it works like this, when we're talking CZ-75s

Pre-B (Pre firing pin BLOCK, not pre BAN) mags fit only pre-b guns.
75Bs and flavors (SP-01, 75B, 75B SA) mags fit each other
Tactical Sport has it's own magazine

CZ mags are a complete rip off anyway. 10 rounders were $45 BEFORE they panic, I can't imagine what they are now.

If you want good mags for the CZ, look at the MecGar 16 rounders. If you are in CA and you get one, you obviously have to block it before you can have it. In fact I think MecGar makes the CZ factory mags. CZ is marking them up to screw with CA because it is (WAS) the only market for 10 rounders.

I may be interested in selling the 16 rounder factory "rebuild kits" that came with my out of state CZ 75b.

            PM me if interested.

Also note that the compact models have shorter mags if i'm remembering correctly.
