How Does The Sig CPO Program Work

How exactly does the Sig CPO program work? Are they all police trade-ins and do you just walk in to a store and ask them to order one up for you? Looking at an older (non-railed) P226 and a clean CPO would fit the bill.

How long of a wait is there and what is pricing like? What are my chances of finding a nice 226 this way?

(Tried doing a search, but the search function doesn't seem to fully functioning)

    TIA.

What's pricing usually like? In order to be apprised of this "as available" basis do you put your name on a list at a store?

No-rail is non-roster. You will have to SSE it.

Foiled again! Just looked over the Reader's Digest version of SSE and it seemed cost-prohibitive; especially with so many other fish in the sea. Guess I'll have to wait on a used one.

My first gun ever was a CPO P239, just found it on the shelf at the gun shop, I dont remember what I paid for it, that was back in January 2007.

CPOs come up when they come up...usually when a LE department is trading in their old SIGs for new ones. The are torn down and inspected...with parts replaced as needed.

I got two 220ST CPOs through a dealer in TX...note that their takedown latches are different

I got them for $600 each when MSRP was about $900+
