I just got back from another Front Sight trip and realized I broke my G23C for the second time. It had cracked the plastic in front of the front slide rails where the slide comes in contact wile cycling. One side is gone and the other is cracked and deformed. I only put 500 rounds through it at the 2 day class and had no break on day one.
I sent it back to Glock yesterday and can't wait to have to go through the 10 days of waiting for a gun I already own(new receiver). If you didn't know, Fed-Ex is $85. to ship a hand gun.
The first issue with this gun was a fluke feed ramp chip that Glock swiftly fixed with a new barrel. The crappy part is 3 serial numbers, barrel, slide and receiver.(hence the name FrankenGlock).
I know only the receiver counts or does it? I have yet to add this to a permit... Will be filing my papers when it comes back.
I guess the real Question is.
Should I ask for a new gun?
