    Refinishing on My M&P9

I called Smith and Wesson CS today about their options for returning my M&P9 slide to original stainless finish. They offer bead blasting and I thought this was the accepted way to reach that. He said the melonite finish on the slide was too tough and bead blasting would probably leave a lot of pinning. I told him that there are many examples of M&P's with the slide refinished. He didn't have an answer for that.

Can I get any options? Bowie Tactical told me 4-5 months turn around. That's not going to work.

I want a stainless slide and my Ameriglo Night Sights I purchased installed.

If not, is there someone who can do a FDE Cerakote on it in the Bay Area?

Give Chuck Rogers a call, he might be able to help you out.

Thanks Jesse for the advice, but that is not my concern for this thread.

I've never used these two shops before but I've read that they do good work. ATEI's top cocking serrations look nice too!

EDIT: Might as well google "gun refinishing" or "gun refinishing california." Seems like there's a ton of shops to pick from.
