    SoCal ranges

I will in in SoCal for about 5 days in last part of April. I would like to bring a blaster and shoot one evening or tow or three.....I will be stationed in Torrance, but know the area pretty well and have a car with unlimited mileage, gas and parking, Thanks Boss!

Any recommendations? I have been out of the original and true South Bay area for the past 15 years..... Yes I remember the olden days of the Great Western Guns shows, Packmyers, Bowers and so forth.

Plan on bringing the 627PC, WC, and the G34, wife will be bringing the good stuff.....

    Thanks

Ah, the old days. I still have not gone to a gun show since attending the last Great Western Gun Show at the LA Fairgrounds in Pomona. I got my final purchases of "high" cap mags at that particular show. There was a vendor with 3 huge piles of used magazines on his table. One huge pile of Sig 226 mags, another of Beretta 92 mags......cannot remember what the third ones were.

If you can only shoot in the evenings, most of the outdoor ranges will be closed. But if you can get there dirung the daytime, I like the San Gabriel Valley Gun Club a lot. They are at 4001 Fish Canyon Road, Duarte , Ca 91010.

Burro Canyon is always a good time during the week -- very relaxed atmosphere. You can bring your own targets as long as you pick them up before you leave.

Oh, you gotta drive up the mountain to get there, but it's still about a hour drive.
Unleash your shooting skills at our premier shooting park in San Gabriel Canyon. Family-friendly fun and spacious ranges await every enthusiast.

dont expect any far targets at sgv shooting range. The only thing i dont like about that place is... everything too dam close. I like shooting those targets that got "POW" when you hit them at 600 yards.

Just for some random information, there was a fire at SGVGC yesterday, behind the 200 yd line. Some idiot was shooting steel core. I pulled up to do some shooting and saw a bunch of fire trucks and ambulances behind the 200 yd pit and thought "Oh ****, someone finally got nailed". I asked the guy next to me what happened and he told me that there was a fire.

I like the San Gabriel Valley Gun Club.

Has an area for shooting clays too if you (like me) are into that sort of thing.
