conversion barrels for self defense?

so lots of people have been buying and using conversion barrels, most of whom have been very reliable. my question is how come i haven't heard of anyone using it for self defense? it seems to be reliable enough.

Even though my LW 9mm converion barrel's have been pretty reliable (way less than 1% FTE rate) the stock factory barrels have been 100% reliable, never had a failure of any kind with them.

Because most people buy the gun in the caliber they wish to use for self-defense and purchase the conversion barrel to use cheaper/more easily available ammunition to practice with.

Nothing wrong with using a conversion barrel for SD, just make sure you run as many rounds as you feel comfortable with to ensure reliable function.
