LAHC now offering NRA Basic Pistol Course

New this year. Los Angeles Harbor College is now offering the NRA Basic Pistol Course. www.lahcextension.org Only offered on 1 day but offered at a community college none the less! Might be a little expensive at $120 for the class and then $50 for the range fee but I'm thinking of attending just to show support for it. The range fee includes everything you'll need including gun, ammo, eye and ear protection. I'm guessing the live fire portion will take place at either Sharpshooters in Torrance or the Police pistol range on Gaffey St. in San Pedro.

Interesting that they would offer a course like that. I went to the website you posted but could not find any info about that course online. I tried searching for "NRA" and "pistol" but no luck. Did you see that course in a printed catalog?

Online and printed catalog. Open the "Spring 2008" pdf file and it's on page 34.

        Sounds expensive.

"There is no way possible for you to use a weapon from this era,and not make some sort of modifications to the rifle and have it as a safe hunting rifle. For example,if the action was not jeweled,it would not be safe to hunt with as the breach would open everytime it was fired making it unsafe."
I'm curious about the origin of this quote. Can you provide originator and context, please?

LOL! There was a sporterized 03 for sale here long ago and the seller was asking way too much, comments were shared back and forth and it got pretty messy to say the least.

I also like the other course on that same page..."How to Beat Your Traffic Ticket".

Nice to see that they are offering this class at a community college... Kind of expensive but the main thing is that it is being offered...
