Here is the seller-provided photo of the Colt O1980XSE that I recently purchased from a fellow Calgun-ner...as he said was "factory" and "unmodified," "like new in box."
..so much for unmodified. It also arrived with a gouged up MSH (looks to have been dropped), damaged FLGR and a broken ambi thumb safety...
...sucked it up, lesson learned, and dove into my stash of leftover parts, and spent the evenings after work this week in my shop machining and fitting parts.
...as of this morning...
...changed out the damaged plastic MSH for an original aluminum Colt MSH, fitted a Colt RH thumb and beavertail grip safeties, replaced the dinged up slide stop with a Wilson, did an Ed Brown GI conversion and fitted a left over Ed Brown barrel bushing. And, tossed on a spare set of Colt DD stocks. Was kind of hoping to use these parts on a future build instead of what was supposed to be a LNIB shooter.
