Help with pistol Dad gave me

My dad gave me his old service pistol which is a 1986 W. German sig. It shas the priginal 15 rounds mags with it also. Now my question is

1. Is there such thing as preban Pistol Mags?
2. Can I use these mags in this gun, No date codes on the mags that I could find?

Dad been out of LEO game for a while and to many laws have changed since he retired.

Not really such a thing as prebans, doesn't really matter if you didn't have them before jan/2000, take apart the mags. Either block them to 10 or leave apart for out of state use.

If you want everything done proper, fill out a intrafamily report with a check for 19$ for the doj
