    What did you machine today?

I was lucky enough earlier in the year to find 4 CZ75 mags on Ebay. They were listed as 10-rounders. I got each pair for $32. I went to shoot with them and turns out they only hold 9 rounds and have something rattling inside.WTH?
Opened them up to find a piece of Bic pen used as a limiter. So I turned all 4 into parts kits while I hit up Mastercam with some black delrin and voila! Smooth 10-rounders.

How are the new Haas VMC's? Looks like they put a serious interlock on the door now. I run an 08 VF2SS

I've gotta be honest with you... I didn't machine anything today.

I had to machine a whole bunch of prototype copper parts all over again that the night shift totally screwed up. Not in a good mood. Hated the door interlocks on our Haas machines so we defeated them. Setting up is so much better when you can see thru an open door.

Didn't machine anything today. My poor, neglected mini-mill gives me the stink eye every time I go through the garage. It's gone unused since last week, when I machined a USC lower to work with an aftermarket folding stock because I was bored and wanted to see if it could be done.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Hmm plenty of machinist in here. New to the field I'm currently running old Akira seiki lathes with fanuc controls. I actually like the haas controls better.
