Ruger LC9- Range report

Took my LC9 to a field and shot at some cans. Do to the mud, I could only get about 40 yards close. A little bit of a distance for a sub compact. Yes it has the longest trigger pull of any pistol I have ever shot. After about 30 rounds I started to hit a can now and then. Was shooting a bit high and to the right. Loosened set screw and moved the rear sight over. Pretty close. Shot a total of 100 rounds of Winchester 115 fmj white box.
Not one hiccup. Shot perfectly. I will need a little more practice. This is the smallest gun I have ever shot. Pretty happy with it. I expected the long stiff trigger. I like it better without the pinky extension.

Shoot one before you buy one. Take it apart and look at how it is made. Just a heads up. I have one, and I'm on the fence about if I would ever use it for it's intended purpose.

Specifically the RTK trigger, Trigger Bar and Hammer Mod, Stainless guide rod, and 20lb recoil spring.

This completely changes the feel of the trigger and travel. The recoil is well managed with 124gn Federal, Remington GS, and Target loads I've tested it with.

My only complaint is the front sight. Keeps drifting after 50 or rounds down the pipe.

I think if you contact Ruger, and send them your slide, they will replace it with one that has a pinned front sight.
