Best Glock RCA's for Gen 3

What is the best Recoil Spring Assembly (RSA) for a Gen 3 Glock 22 and Glock 21?

I have read where people say to:

1. Use the standard RSA that came with the Glock and just buy new ones every 1000 rounds or so.
2. Use a Stainless Steel RSA
3. Use a Tungsten RSA
4. Use a Dual RSA (like the Gen 4 Glock) for the Gen 3

Please share your experiences, opinions, and advice concerning this question. Thanks in advance.

Factory is best. Change it every 5000 rounds. (or sooner).

Everyone I've talked to says keep it stock and just get some factory spares. I've put a couple thousand rounds through my G21 and G17 and the idea of changing the RCA every 1000 is kind of silly.

Don't just change it, test it first. Pull the trigger on an empty gun, hold the trigger in, point the gun straight up, pull the slide about 1/4" out of battery and let go. If it returns very slowly or barely closes, it's time to replace. I have over 80K rounds on one of my G17's and have yet to replace the guide rod assembly. You can use metal guide rods, it won't hurt anything. Gen 4's will not fit earlier gens.

Well that is that then. Thank you all for responding. I ordered an extra Glock OEM RSA just to have in case. After all it was only around $8 bucks. Thanks for your advice and opinions in this matter.

I got the tungsten one for weight. Along with the weapon light, the muzzle doesn't jump around like my stock xd.
