Took G23 first time to range today.

Gotta say im very impressed with this handgun.... I got a storm lake conversion 9mm barrel and it functioned flawlessly... I broke in the firearm with about 100rds of .40 cal and then put the 9mm barrel.... i personally feel like the 9mm is much more accurate but at home i will keep it with a 40 cal as it came from factory.... I think it would be even more accurate with some nice aftermarket sights, the factory sights aren't that good at all lol

As far as accuracy I think it really depends on what you shoot more. I shoot .40 Glocks more often then 9mm. So I tend to be more accurate and faster with the .40s.
I have a 35 that I have been thinking about getting a conversion barrel for. Just for the sake of having it. I like shooting .40 and have plenty of ammo 2/3 of the way done with 3000 reloads to add to what I already have. But own 6 9mm handguns and reload for it also so why not. Good to hear yours is working well. The 23 is a very good compact service gun.

I have trijicon HD on my 23, I really like the front sight and the U cut on the rear. My newest 22 just got a set of i-dots. They have really nice front sights also, rear are not as nice as the HD but still good, and their price is very reasonable.

Sights are personal and it depends on if it's for carry or competition.

I've had my Gen. 2 G23 for over 20 years and fired thousands of rds through it flawlessly. Have never replaced so much as a spring. It should give you years of good service. In addition to Glockstore.com, you can also check out Glockmeister for accessories.

                    Love mine:

I just recently put on Heinies and accuracy is the same:

Under stress, the factory sights on my 23 tend to have me putting rounds high and a little left @ 10 yards whereas my 226 and 1911 are pretty well spot-on.

I'm likely to upgrade soon, too.
