2nd Gen G19

Anyone know what a 2nd Gen G19 from 1988 with Austrian markings and US after the serial number is worth? Unknown round count but good condition with no box.

I'd say about $425-475 depending on condition. Gen 2's are perfection in my opinion....

1988 is the first production year of the Gen 2 G19. the Gen 2 has always been popular for those that prefer it's grip ergonomics and find a non railed Glock to be more desirable than a railed one. more and more fans of the Glock appear to be looking to the earlier variants as candidates for purchase.

in excellent+ condition with original factory goodies and paperwork included with original box, i'm thinking the market value to be in the $450.00-$475.00+ range. there are fans of the Gen 2 G19 that will pay a premium to own one, and it doesn't hurt it's value to be a first year production gun. the seller of a Gen 2 Glock is looking for a special buyer; one who prefers it's features over the newer variants; as mentioned, it appears that the number of these 'special' buyers is rising.

it would be helpful for you to post a picture for more accurate assessment. you mentioned that your example is in "good" condition. by whose standards? good condition could mean a 'beater' by some standards, and 'great' by another. unless the condition has been graded using a stated grading system, 'good condition' doesn't mean much.

the amount deducted in value for no box depends on the condition of the gun. if the gun has obviously been handled a lot and was previously a shooter... the box is not as important than if the gun is excellent+ to like new condition. if this was a rare gun that was already considered to be a collectible, the box would be highly desirable and affect overall value of the gun for most collectors... regardless of the gun's condition.
