Ordered a couple Glocks

I ordered a couple of Glocks and I can't wait to get them. I wanted to get a Glock 22 Gen 4, but they were not available for ordering from the supplier. I was right there across the counter from the phone that the salesman (Chris) used to call, so I could hear the whole conversation.

Supplier said he had a Gen 3 in stock, and Chris looked at me, and I said I'll take it.

Then the same process happened again when I decided to buy a Glock 21. Same phone same salesman. Chris asked the supplier if he had a Gen 4 Glock 21, the guy said he only had Gen 3's in stock. I asked if he had the Gen 3 Glock 21SF, and when he said he did, I said, "I'll take it".

So I put down deposits on two Gen 3 Glocks. A G22, and a G21SF. Can't wait to get them.

Apparently your gunstore does SSE..?...nice..what do they charge for that?

No they don't Bob, sorry to disappoint you. But I am a State Parole Agent, so with the peace officer status they could order a Gen4 for me. But I ended up having to get Gen3's anyway because the Gen4's are so hard to get.

No they don't Bob, sorry to disappoint you. But I am a State Parole Agent, so with the peace officer status they could order a Gen4 for me. But I ended up having to get Gen3's anyway because the Gen4's are so hard to get.

Good for you. Gen3 or 4 run 100% and really there is nothing better than 13+1 of .45 auto. (LE get normal mags too folks)

Are officers exempt from the 30 days per handgun?

Thanks Everyone for your responses of congratulations. I am so excited and can't wait to get them in.

Darksands: Peace Officers are exempt for the 30 day wait between handgun purchases. I don't know why, but they are. We are not exempt from the 10 day waiting period, at least I know my department is not, but Parole Agents are not the same status of Peace Officer as a Sheriff or Police Officer on the street. I have to have a letter from my Department Head to be exempt from the 10 day waiting period. Personally I would rather wait the 10 days because asking for the letter is a pain in the behind. Department Heads are busy and don't want to be bothered with little stuff.

Teeho: Let us know how that shoots for you since I will still be waiting for mine to arrive, or waiting for the 10 day jail sentence to end. Hopefully the latter.

I'm glad they made the SF version also GRP17. The had a regular one in the store, but it just felt too big. I don't have small hands either, and it still felt too big. I use the large backstrap on my M&P40, so I thought I had large hands, and I am a good sized boy. But the G21 just felt really big to me. The salesman said the G21SF would feel pretty similar to a G17, so I can handle that or a little bigger.

OeanBob: Thanks man. I hope you are right about both Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glocks being good to go. PLISK posted that I am actually better off with the Gen3's anyway. I know you were looking for a place that does the SSE for the Gen 4. I thought you might check out the stores that are listed on the Glock website as dealer lists. Like LCAction Police Supply in San Jose. Or Tracy Rifle and Pistol, and there are more. If they don't do it there, they might be able to tell you who does. By the way Bob, I really like the saying you have in your signature. Neat stuff.
