    Where's the List

Where can I go to get the list of illegal pistols?
Is a Walter PPK/s 380 auto (9mmKurtz) on that list?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Let me google that for you...

The CA DOJ list for handguns is for approved handguns for sale in California. It is NOT a list of "illegal" guns.

Yeah, but it is what he is looking for as a "list of illegal handguns" does not exist.

              Hey Greg....welcome to Cal Guns..!...

In reality you can buy just about any handgun you want here in Kalifornistan. Some handguns might take an extra hoop or two to get but there are many legal ways to get something 'off roster'.

                Thanks Bob,
I noticed that it is 'off roster'. I do have a cop friend. I know that he can buy stuff I can't. I'll ask him how it works and what is 'legal' or not.

                I appreciate the help again,
                Greg

Please don't ask your friend to buy something off-Roster for you; several LEO in Sacramento got in heaps of trouble last January or so, apparently for some variation of that kind of thing. (The actual indictments still seem to be unavailable, IIRC, so we're not sure what the issues may have been.)

Read up on the silly Roster at the wiki -- http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/The_Safe_Handgun_List

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Looks like that model came off the roster around Mid-2010...so there should be plenty of used ones in CA already.

Search the for sale area here and you should be able to locate one.

                      Thanks Librarian for the tip.
Thanks KeenKeen for the note as well. I noticed one on Gunbroker that looked good to me, but there are several LGSs who need my business anyway.

Or you can check with the many supporting vendors who specialize in SSE (single shot exemption) to see if it's possible for them to secure and convert one for you.

Search online and throughout this site to learn more about SSE.

Remember that even if it is on Gunbroker you can't buy it unless it is a Private Party Transfer here in California.

Try searching GB for that model within CA only...than see if there is one in your area for PPT.

This is the only Walther PPK on Gunbroker that will do a PPT in California:

                              It's $2450
