    Where do you live? There are shops around the state that can do a SSE for you on many guns.

        Try either EBR Works, OC Armory, Direct Action Solutions, or Parallax Tactical. I'm sure there are others but those are the only shops in So Cal that I know of that do SSE.

          People have already mentioned the SSE sticky at the top. That's the most reliable way around the roster since it just takes time and money. There are some other ways.

          Do you have a parent or child living out of state? Gifts from parents or children are exempt from roster requirements but they do have to go through a CA FFL.

          Can you find someone in CA that has that gun and would sell it to you? PPT transfers are exempt from the roster and some people (like cops) can buy off-roster weapons.
