Custom/Semi-custom Hi Power?

I decided that for this upcoming year I plan on purchasing 3 handguns...well 4 if I can find a nice 6in Blued Python for a reasonable price.

The first will be for if SD county ever grants CCW to us commoners, or if I end up moving back to coastal WA. I'm deciding on a Glock 27, or an M&P 40c, that way I have a little more punch then my grandfather's S&W Model 36 that I have set aside for a possible CCW.

The second will be a Wilson CQB.

And the third is a Hi Power. Just wondering if there are any smiths out there similar to Wilson, Nighthawk or Baer that make Hi Powers.

Only Browning or FN makes the Hi-Power. Get one, have a great smith do what you want to it, and enjoy one of the best 9mm ever made.

That's what I figured...might have to pick up a used model, because I really want one in Nickel/Chrome, and Browning doesn't seem to make them in that finish anymore

There are quite a few smiths who are well known for hipower work. Cylinder and slide, robar, and there are a few from louder than words who do just flat out amazing work.

I had never even considered a custom Hi Power until this thread. After an image search, I'm not sure that isn't going to be my next gun.

As said above, check out Cylliner and Slide. They have ver nice ones but bery expensive.

If you are going to have custom work done, you don't want to start with a nickeled or chromed gun. You'll just have to have it refinished after they work on it
