Because no GEN4 glocks are approved for FFL over the counter sales in Kalifornistan. (not on the safe handgun roster)

Buy a GEN4 thru one of the FFLs who do SSE (see sticky above)

Or thru a PPT from someone who already owns a GEN4..Or from a vertical family member (Gift) from out of State. (exempt from the roster).

That's about it

or just get a Gen3 Glock 26.

Depending on where you live you might consider buying off this forum (firearms for sale).

You can do a face to face PPT and save the sales tax. I just saw a GEN4 for sale recently as well.

Although its ridiculous this crooked state hasnt approved the Gen 4 yet, go ahead and get a 3. They are already proven and very reliable, great guns. The 4s have had a few issues.

This state will NEVER approve the Gen4. It does not have a loaded chamber indicator or magazine disconnect. The Gen3 is only on the list because it is grandfathered in.

I am pretty much convinced that Glock won't bow to the loaded chamber indicator or mag disconnect requirement. So it will be Gen3 forever, unless we are able to get rid of the arbitrary and unjust roster.

The Gen3s don't suck though. They run and run and run...

At the bottom of the list there it is in big bold RED LETTERS that no Gen 4s have been approve, nor will they ever be approved.

Select "Glock" under the 'gun make' tab and you'll see at the bottom of the list.
