My first Glock! Couldn't be happier, only three hundred rounds so far, but many more to come.

The only thing I plan on changing are the sights, I can't stand the factory Glock sights.

Factory Glock sights (not night sights) suck. But sights are personal, you want it for competition or carry. Fiber optic front, or black on black.

Glocks are the best pistols ever made, especially the 9mm versions. I've never seen one malfunction

Sigs are great too but far heavier and twice the price and fewer rounds.

Yea, I love my Glocks but like others, hate the sights. At the very least, I's switch out the front to a fiber optic. Super easy to do. Recently got a couple of CZ TS'. One all black and the other red fiber on the front and all black in the rear. Love them both - "long time".
Have still the stock rear adjustable on my G34 and 35. Hate 'em. Got to change them out too.

Glock factory sights suck (so do XD sights) but the glock trigger is horrible. My modified XD trigger is exceptional for a non-single stage trigger. I haven't felt a modified glock trigger that came real close. I recently shot a modified Glock that belongs to a shooting buddy. His was the first that I didn't mind shooting. The trigger was better than any other Glock I have fired and the grip along with his magwell, actually fit my hand pretty well.

Sights can pretty much be changed to whatever you want, regardless of gun manufacturer, but the trigger doesn't seem to be such an easy fix.

Glocks are great guns, but they just don't fit my preferences and hands as well as an XD. I am also a bit biased with roughly 30k rounds through my modified XD, and less than a couple hundred rounds through a Glock, if that.

Another friend, got a 9mm "baby glock" and says it is very easy to shoot accurately. I am interested in seeing if it performs better than the XD sub compact, of which I wasn't impressed with.

I love Dawson FO adjustable sights, and I have mine set in a bomar cut on my XD. They are great for target practice and competition.

OP: Congrats on the G19. I'm sure it will serve you well. I'm a G23 guy and can't really see how anyone could own a polymer firearm that's isn't stamped Glock. In my humble O, all these Glock knock offs cater to the idiosyncrises of people that probably take 10 mins to order a bowl of cereal @ Denny's.

But hey, it's a market to fill.

Congrats on the 19! I just recently bailed mine out of jail too! I have yet to shoot it, but already have XS Big Dot night sights in hand. I need to get to the range!
