Broken Glock?

So I have a Glock 29SF put about 300 rounds through it. Last trip to the range I had my first ever jam. Cleared it and loaded a mag with 2 rounds, gun jammed again and when it jammed the guide rod was sticking out the front. Stopped shooting, took it apart and everything looked fine. Loaded a dummy round racked the slide and again the guide rod is sticking out the front of the frame, WTF?

I believe that your guide rod isn't seated correctly in the barrel cutout. Strip it, ensure that the guide rod is properly seated, reassemble.

Glock had an issue and redesign last year on the Recoil spring cup.

I took the slide off, reassembled and it is cycling fine now? But I had already done this in between jam with live ammo and later cycling the dummy round. Anything else you can think of that would cause this other than improper placement of the guide rod? I just had a smith install a ghost rocket trigger connector, I guess I should have mentioned that in the first place. Before grinding down the bar to fit properly the pistol became jammed and he had to take out the striker to take everything apart, when that happened the guide rod was sticking out the front like in the pic. He was surprised that this happened and asked me if it was put in the right way which made me nervous that he was surprised, but it was in correctly? I put 100 rounds through it directly after the trigger job, functioned perfectly. Then on the next trip multiple jams and the protruding rod?

WHAT? You shouldn't have to grind anything. I suggest you take your gun to an authorized current Glock armorer to have them check it out and replace anything wrong with it.

na man you do for the Ghost Rocket, to prevent over travel its feels great. There are two different models only one of them needs to be filed down by a smith. I would have installed it myself otherwise.

see the tab on the trigger connector, it needs to be filed down to fit properly, that is also how you prevent over travel.

OK. Its on the connector itself. I thought you were talking about the trigger bar, which would'nt be smart. Guess, a call to Glock is in order. They may offer to send you a new recoil spring assy, or suggest sending it to them. I'm curious if you put the stock connector back in, if that would fix that issue...
