    Desert Eagle rails

I'm wondering about the rails on the CA compliant DE44CA Desert Eagle. It seems like all the pictures I've seen and guns I've seen in the stores have the weaver rail with the two slots, while the Magnum Research site states that "All models feature a full Picatinny rail on the barrel from the end of the chamber to right behind the front sight". Has anybody seen the CA compliant Eagle with a picatinny rail? I know the replacement barrels have them but I'm asking about the stock gun. Also seems like the DE44CA is still made in Israel, maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm not asking for opinions on the gun (I know that's a pretty divided issue), I'm just asking about the rails.

looking at mine right now and it has just the 2 slots like you mentioned!

side note why would you want a full rail on top? the 2 slots are perfect for mounting a scope. just curious

I was thinking i would put a red dot on it as opposed to a scope, but since my red dot has an integrated base that fits picatinny rails it might be difficult or impossible to install on the weaver rail. Cosmetically i actually think the weaver style looks better.
