    H&K MARK 23 SOCOM

    is it legal to purchase the H&K MARK 23 SOCOM(with 10 rounders not 12) in california from out of state?

          Compensator? Hope you don't mean a suppressor. Even a compensator is a no-no. The threaded barrel is illegal.

            I remember when the MK23's first came out. I thought, "Nawwww... I'll never be interested in having one of those. Too big, bulky, and heavy.".

            Wow, was I ever wrong... another missed opportunity.

                I guess if you knocked the threads off the end of the barrel it would be legal. There is no chance to own a can so the threads are useless anyhow.

                  I personally don't care for ''exotic'' pistols. Plus, why in hell would you want to add more weight to an already bulky pistol?

                    Its not on the approved list anyway, so you are screwed. lol. There are a few lucky people that will sell them if you have $4k laying around to drop. I myself would sacrifice a significant part of my collection for one.

                      How would you disassemble if it was comped? I have one with threads knocked off. Very good pistol for what it was designed for.

                        really? Lets talk then! what guns do ya have? Ive got a 1995/96-ish production socom. Comes with the soft case, 5 mag rebuild kits. Anyone want to put in a bid for mine?
