CZ SP-01 // Roster

Anyone have luck finding an SP-01 in NorCal/Bay Area?? This thing seems like a mythical unicorn - no luck for me finding anywhere . I've asked my LGS to keep an eye out for one. I'd rather not deal with online - I want to support LGS.

Is it common to expect them to go for above MSRP ($660) due to the demand??

I also noticed that it's roster status is set to expire next month 1/31/2013. For such a popular gun, I can't imagine them not renewing. Is it common for manufacturers to renew close to the deadline?

I thought I might have seen one at Triple A's in Vallejo. Again, that was last weekend. I thought they had one. Not sure which caliber it was. I also saw some 75B's, and a RAMI.

Don't worry about the Roster status, Manufacturer renew them all the time, sometimes even if it is being discontinued.

I believe it's been said on the CZ forum that CZ USA isn't expecting any new ones to be available for delivery until between February and April of next year.

People told me the same thing but I contacted them and they said they do not have them. I tried just about everything and the best info I got was that CZ is busy filling government contracts the world over and won't have any for civilian distribution for a few months. Pretty much every dealer I spoke with said some variation of that. The best I could do was find an off roster version and attempt an SSE, which I elected not to do.

It's only $200 to renew. It's a currently-produced, very popular gun. There's no way CZ won't renew its Roster status.

You're probably going to have to order it online, but they're backordered everywhere no matter what so that's going to be hard enough. You're still supporting an LGS because they're going to charge you like $75 for the transfer haha.
