Why do AS triggers seem to be more popular than the QA variant? I've noticed AS Walthers selling much quicker.

Walther QA versus AS triggers...

The AS trigger operates more like a traditional DA/SA trigger
The QA trigger operates similar to a Glock trigger
Given a choice I would always go with the AS trigger. The QA isn't that bad, but its longer and heavier than the AS trigger with a longer reset.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L Mencken

I have both an AS and a QA P99 and though I have no problem with the QA trigger, the AS is better. I swapped out the Stryker spring on my QA for a stock Glock Stryker spring and the trigger pull is much better.
Walther has discontinued the QA variant of the P99 though...Sic Parvis Magna

A p99 AS in 9mm is my next gun. I just need to sell my cz p01+tru glo and 4 mags.
Or trade it for one.
I did not know they stopped making the QA p99M. Gandhi (1869-1948) "Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest"Comment

The PPQ and PPQ are not QA systems or AS. I evaluated the differences and AS seems to be far safer. If you chamber a round and de-cock it, it takes 11 pounds and a full trigger pull to fire. That is the anti-stress part. If you don't want to accidentally fire off the first shot as easily as the successive shots, it is a good thing. If you chamber a round and leave it cocked, or on successive shots, there is almost no travel and less than 5 pounds to pull. The QA is between those for every shot, and just doesn't feel as good, harder to put into words.

(Highlighted in red) Negatory. The anti-stress mode is when you first chamber a round, the trigger is in the full double action length but single action pull weight, if you de-cock an AS trigger it is in double-action mode, not anti-stressThe PPQ and PPQ are not QA systems or AS. I appreciate the clarification. I just like that mode, and would use that if ever in a stressful situation, must be why I associated it.
