    Help me Decide which P226

I am debating between two pistols.

A Swiss Police trade in p226 with Stainless slide or a P226 CPO?

The price difference is about $60.

The CPO comes with two mags and has "Frame made in Germany"

While the police trade in p226 looks beat up with Triple Serial Numbers, comes with night sight (dim though) and one mag.

Can you inspect the slide rails beforehand? Which one is in better condition?

Does the CPO have an accessory rail for a light (P226R)? Do you prefer your frames to have accessory rails or smooth dust covers?

I would do the cpo cause it is backed by Sig and if any problems you can send it back to them

Made in W. Germany gun is my preference. Voted Swiss trade-in.

I would go with the CPO Sig replaces the springs and refinishes the gun. Also it should come with a warranty.

Thanks everybody for your input but I am going to hold off on the P226.

              For two reasons,

              1. I can't inspect the guns because the seller is out of state.

              2. Best reason, I found a S&W 1911 9mm Pro Series in a local Fun shop. Just put it on layaway.

In my opinion, dim night sights are worthless.

I was a little pissed when I got a trade-in USP that was advertised as having NS, but not disclosed as to what condition they were in. Big deal though, one day I plan on putting my own preferred NS on the slide, probably Heinie straight eights.

S&W 1911 9mm is the right choice. Congratulations.
