    When do roster dates update?

I've been looking at the Kahr CW9 and decided this week that it will be my next handgun purchase. I checked the "safe list" to see if there where multiple variations to choose from and saw that the gun will fall off list on 1/4/2013.

I've never paid close attention to the expiration dates of specific guns or on what timeline they get renewed. How worried should I be that the CW9 will fall off list before I can get one of my own?

I ran a DROS for a new revolver on 12/6 so I wont be able to buy another handgun until after the exp date.

I don't have much experience with the roster dates, but my best guess is that they update if/when the manufacturer meets whatever the requirements are to renew (paying the state extortion fee?), plus whatever amount of time it takes for some state paper-pusher somewhere to update the database.

Yeah, it's $200 per year. If it's a gun in current production, it's probably worth it to the company to renew. The best way to find out if they are or are not renewing is simply calling up the company. Call Kahr and find out.
