    Rock Island .45s

Anybody know where I can get a nice little Rock Island .45? Probably a compact or just your standard version. Let me know.

If you're in San Diego, El Cajon gun has them, as well as Wholesale Guns in Santee.

They seem to come in waves as I won't see them for a while then theres lots availabe for a while. There a hot seller & go fast when the ship comes in.
I got one that a gi full size version . I hate to say it is handsdown the most reliable 1911 I own with respect to three basic jamms. It goes bang with every trigger pull well as clunk clunk clunk. Get two if you can !
            I got mine at Turners.

I tried turners but they weren't available at the time. I haven't checked back. My only beef with Turners is that they WAY overcharge.... The sales are however very decent.

I've seen both the tactical and regular 5" model at Bain & Davis in San Gabriel. Saw an Armscor at Lock Stock and Barrel in Temple City.

I got mine from Sarco, but we warned, they ship guns a whole week(!) after they receive the FFL.

I once found a Friendly guy at Turners and asked him about certain pistols etc.etc.
He said if its available in CA we can order it for ya.
He proceeded to look up several things in a catalog (not on the laptop).
He was very frank about costs and what a out the door price would be.
Yeah i bought a pistol from him.
this was a couple of years ago dont know if they have a paper catalog like that anymore or maybe they just relies on the laptop.

My only beef with SARCO is that I have to FFL to different places other than Turners (they charge 125 for FFL's). Even the cheap places charge 65ish for transfers and then you still have to do the DROS and taxes... still much cheaper but you end up paying like 150 extra ....
