So who has made an AR pistol w/ a piston upper and not added a pistol buffer tube to the lower, and instead some kind of endcap? I am looking at the RRA piston pistols and thinking about doing something similar with my 80% build I hope to get going in the next month or so. Has anyone tried this, and if so, do you like it or would you go with the DI upper/pistol buffer tube combo?

A lot of the piston uppers still need buffer tubes, just a heads up.
But the RRA you are looking at is one of the exceptions.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

I don't have much experience with piston ARs so I didn't realize you would still need the tube for most models. That is good to know. Hopefully RRA starts selling just the uppers, that would be pretty awesome. Otherwise I'll stick with DI (Franklin Armory stuff is a bit more than I think I can afford at this point). Thanks for the infoComment
