I don't know all the handgun laws. But I am looking to get one for target shooting and hunting rabbits (because they are fun and realoading a 9 costs like 14 cents a round). But I am only 19 years old.
My dad is on board for buying it for me and registering it to me, but my question is: how do we go about doing this? Do we just go to the gun store together and he cosigns it for me or what? Or he buys it then transfers it to me? By the way, he doesn't have a HSC, I'm the only shooter/hunter in the family. All the info possible on this subject would be great. Thanks!
And I don't need to hear people criticizing me for wanting a handgun and being unsafe. I personally own two long guns (have owned four in my life) and shoot at a competitive level. I have had access to pistols since I started shooting and know how to operate/be safe with them.
Thanks everyone!
