Anyone looking for a CZ SP01?

If anyone is looking for one in the Bay Area they have one at Canyon Sports in Martinez. I remember back in September they had them for $659 and I told them it was a great price. I just came back from that store and now their SP01's are $769 + tax and dros is $869 out the door. They sure have the highest prices on most of their selections. I thought the dros fee is $25 and not $35.

Wow, that is insane! The stupid roster really lets our local gun stores (some of them at least) gouge us on prices.

Supply and demand issue at this point I guess, for a couple hundred more I would just buy another shadow.

Yeah, but Canyon has always been known to have higher prices than usual. Great selection there though! Well, at least I pick up my Shadow Target tomorrow.

Yeah it really has nothing at all to do with the Roster. Pretty much the whole CZ line, Roster models or not, is backordered nationally and shops/people all over are charging a premium for them. It's not a CA thing at all.... just look at CZ Custom's site and you'll see that the SP-01 Tactical, P-06, and practically every other gun not on the CA Roster is out of stock also.

You don't really understand buying stuff, do you?

Sorry what I said before was confusing. What I was trying to say is that the roster inhibits us from buying out of state in a lot of situations because with most of your pistols we have to have a special version with 10 round mags. Thus we get stuck paying a premium in state for the same thing we could get out of state (aside from the stock issues everywhere it seems) for much less money even after you factor in shipping and transfer fees.

A lot of gun stores still carry off roster pistols. Not sure about the rami though.
