When I was talking with a busy of mine a few weeks ago about the 10 day hostage time you have to wait after a new gun purchase, he told me that does not apply to single action revolvers. I know this is true for black powder but is this true for single action cartridge revolvers like the Colt SAA 45 cal as well?

Generally, if it ain't a muzzle loader, you have to wait."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment
