    PPT Requirements

I was looking in the for sale section and I had a quick question. I looked around but wasn't able to find much info on it so I apologize if this info is already posted in one of the stickies.

When doing a PPT does the transfer need to take place in the county that you live in. For instance if one person lives in socal and the other in the central valley would the gun then need to be shipped or could one of the parties drive to the others location for the paper work and then again to pick up the gun?

As long as you're both residents of California, county doesn't matter.

If it is shipped,it is not a PPT. I think the two parties can do a PPT anywhere in CA.face to face as a PPT. If the gun is shipped it is no longer a PPT,and all the roster rules apply.

CADOJ doesn't allow for a shipped firearm to be PPT'd. Both parties must go to the same FFL to do the paperwork for it be able to processed as a PPT.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
