Occasionally it happens to mine. Best I can determine, it's the ammo stack. Somewhere in the middle (at a slightly odd angle) the rounds sometimes clack against each other under tension.

Sometimes rapping the loaded magazine on a hard surface, witness holes down, will help seat the rounds."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Yeah, yeah... This is an old thread...
However, my new G26 and mags (two) rattle when full (10 RDS, dbl stack). It doesn't matter if mag is inserted in the firearm or not. Tapping it slightly—witness holes down—or in any other orientation, doesn't make a difference. I bought a third Glock mag and the same rattle is there too.
This rattling does not affect performance at all—it's just annoying. ☹️.

Would you expect no rattle? The heaviest part of the round is the bullet. Some of them have space to move = rattle. Perfectly normal and happens with other gun mags too.Last edited by MosinVirus; 06-26-2018, 8:19 AM.Hobbies: bla, bla, bla... Bought a Mosin Nagant... Guns, Guns, Guns...Comment

Noticed the same thing in my G29 mags. My solution is to shake the mag bit and the rattling stops. Seems like everything just settles in at this point. Once inserted into the gun, no rattle. No biggie

Do you "pack" your mag after loading them to make sure they are all seated against the back of the mag? Try that and see if it goes away. If I recall correctly, I believe I heard some rattling but didn't hear it anymore after packing the mag. I do this without thinking because I learned this in my training to always "pack" my mags after loading.sigpicComment

I can't recall having a Glock mag rattle but I've had other nags rattle. I've multiple mags of the same type and only one rattled. I don't recall ever having an issue with the rattling mags either. I recall having a CZ mag that rattles and I've shot 25+ thousand rounds through my CZs never an issue. My feeling is it has to do with the internet size being a little off. As long as the rattly mag is 100% use it.If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment
