CZ SP01 Shadow

They are a tuned model for competition shooting. There are a couple variations of the shadow, so you need to be specific. Personally, I don't think they are worth the extra cost, especially if you need to SSE it. It really matters on your shooting level, and what division you plan on shooting in.
CZ-USA's website outlines it pretty well.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

I don't have an SP01 shadow, but I do have a 75 Shadow SA and a regular 75 Shadow with comp hammer (DA/SA).
The only difference is the SP01 versions have the rail and full length dust cover so it has more weight up front. Mechanically they are the same.
Love my shadows to death. My 75 SA is the best gun I have ever shot. I'm shooting it at the deadwood boys action steel pistol match tomorrow in Piru.
They are competition tuned and don't have firing pin blocks unlike the regular 75b and SP01.Comment

Worked over by CZ customs, tuned trigger, comp hammer, adjustable comp sights, no firing pin block, thin AL grips.
Great for a production USPSA gun. Will have a shorter reset then a standard 75 or 75 tac, along with a smoothed and lightened DA pull, and a crisp SA pull.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

All I know is there sexy guns and would love to shoot oneOriginally posted by Jimi JahI punch paper only because it is illegal to punch people.Originally posted by elpaisa1I think flatulence is a more serious crime. I think it should be a misdemeanor with a 1000 dollar fine or 6 months of jail. It should be a felony if done near an open flame.

I have a SP-01 Shadow and a regular SP-01. Both have been customized by CZ Team Member Matt Mink. The primary difference is the lack of a firing pin block in the Shadow.
In comparing both:
1) double action pull (first shot)......SP-01
2) single action............................Tied
3) accuracy.................................Tied
4) reliability..................................Tied (excellent)
5) trigger reset.............................Shadow
6) "shootability" ...........................Tied
I use the Shadow for USPSA and have the SP-01 for a backup gun. Its been my primary USPSA gun for years. Thousands of round through it, BUT the double action on the SP-01 is better and the single action is tied. Thats with the firing pin block installed.
In the "heat of battle" (competition) I believe the difference to be minimal. I use the Shadow for the better reset. Thats because I need all the help I can get.Comment
