    which 1911 forum?

Just wondering how many of you are members of a 1911-specific forum, and which ones you find most helpful. These are the first results on google:

    1911forum.com
    1911addicts.com
    m1911.org

Recommendations? I'm picking up my first 1911 (RIA Tactical) this weekend and would like to get active on a good 1911 forum (preferably one where they won't chastise me for not spending $3k on a Wilson Combat).

1911forum.com is a good place to go and chit chat about 1911's. m1911.org is where all the experts are at. If you have really technical questions, they can probably answer them. Plus, m1911.org has a lot of downloads as far as schematics, manuals, engineering drawings, etc. for the 1911. Have fun with your new 1911.

I'm on 1911forum also. Same username, I've found it to be helpful. I'm waiting for my first 1911 also, it's off roster though so I'm jumping through a few hoope.

I like 1911forum but I agree that m1911.org is where more of the pros are at. I think there is also forum more 1911 gunsmithing orientated but I forgot what it was.

m1911.org - very nice and extremely knowledgeable folks.

Louder Than Words also rocks. Pistolsmiths' (primarily) site that allows others to read/write.

Between the two sites one can find lots of reasons to need a second income...

Join all the forums! Take what you want from each one. Each forum has it's own strengths and weaknesses.

Personally, I prefer the 1911forum.com, have met quite a few knowledgeable and friendly people there.

Screen name is the same there as here.

Although 1911forum.com have a good amount of very knowledgeable and helpful 1911 members. 1911forum.com is a joke! All you ever read are good reviews. Write a bad review on their sponsored products and you will be blocked. What good is a forum when all reviews are sugar coating their sponsored products? No Thanks! That's why I am here! Don't even go there if you are trying to do a research on which 1911 are better in your price range because all their sponsors only build perfect 1911.
