    drosed my first sig

after months and months of looking at sig from there p220 226 229 and the 2022 basically all the models they have i opted to get the p226 combat. one of the main selling point for me was the fde frame and grips. just wanted to stand out from the all other models.

i have my glock 19 and it was time to move up to a sig i love my glock but i felt it was time to get a full size 9mm and i chose to get a sig instead of a g17 and i wanted a all metal frame this time around. i get it out on the 25th and i cant wait

Congratulations, you're gonna love it. Im gonna recommend you do two things before shooting it, use a generous amount of grease on the barrel, recoil guide rod, and frame rails. And use loctite 242 on the grip screws so you never lose 'em at the range. Enjoy your new gun, I'd bet it won't be your last sig.

Yea, I love my Combat. Nice choice. nice looking too. But like the others said, Sigs like to run wet. Use a grease instead of oil. Sigs will just throw off the oil, I use SlideGlide myself.
Oh, and watch resting your thumb on the slide release with thumbs forward grip. May not lock back after the last round.

The 226 is a standard by which most other full size 9mm pistols are measured. You'll be surprised how well it shoots.

+1 on this. My Sig is the only gun I have ever owned that I take out just to look at. Pure steel poetry.
