Trigger upgrade for G19 Gen 4

The G19 Gen 4 will be used for Home defense, and lots of range shooting. I was wondering what trigger kit upgrade you would recommend and how much it would run me? I don't want something drastic like 2.5lb.

    Thanks fellas!

Honestly the best trigger improvement you can get for your new Glock will cost about $500. That's about what you'll pay for 1000rds & some professional instruction. I'm a pure Glock guy, and all my triggers are stock except a light polish job on a couple of them. The Glock trigger is what it is, you either love it or hate it. I just happen to love the stock trigger, so I guess I'm lucky that way. Congrats on the new piece, I just got my GEN 4 G19 about a month ago. I have 700rds through it now, but I'm hoping to break 1k by the end of the year.

Highly recommended. I have his trigger bar only in all 3 of my Glocks. Slightly less takeup and return plus the benefit of not messing with any of the safeties.

At least replace the connector to a 3.5 (Glock renamed it to 4.5), there are a few aftermarket ones as well.

        NY1 spring, it's only a $2 part, give it a try.
        G17 smooth face trigger.
        25 cent trigger job.

If you are not happy with those, then consider a full blown kit.

Ghost 3.5# connector in my G19. Love it in mine. Slightly lighter, but not close to being a "hair-trigger". Have yet to measure the actual pull weight but it is a decent improvement over factory and cost me less than $15.

This or Glock (-) connector. Folks were saying 4 to 4.5 pounds with these connectors.

I like the Skimmer but the stock trigger is not bad at all.

It's amazing what a difference that single <$15 part makes. I don't think I would ever buy another Glock without doing that before the first range trip.

I was originally going to get the Glock connector, but they were out of stock and they had the Ghost connector on the shelf. Don't regret my decision in the least, although I would love to try both side by side sometime.

                      This.

Glock makes them that way for a reason.

You want dependability? Then leave it stock.

Check to see if you have the "dot" connector. If you do, a polish job is all you need.

I also have the Ghost Trigger on one of my 19's and it sweet. The Glock Doctor fired it and thought it was great.
