    SCCY CPX-2

Does anybody have any experience with this pistol? It seems like it gets good reviews. I cant seem to find if its on the CA safe list or not. I have been doing research on CCW size guns for awhile now, and I cant believe I havent seen this little guy until today. Thanks for the help!

        SCCY CPX-2 = low budget Kel-Tec PF-9 knock-offs.

First off, it's based on the P-11, not the PF-9, and second I doubt you have handled to two guns side by side, because you wouldn't be saying that if you had.

I have shot both guns side by side, and just like Ruger with the LCP and LC9, SCCY did a better job of making Kel-Tec's gun.

The grip is more comfortable, the gun does not feel cheap and poorly made like a KelTec, the trigger is slightly wider and flatter than the skinny and rounded trigger of the KT which makes it much more pleasant to pull the trigger. The rear sight is made of steel rather than plastic, although the front sight on both is still polymer.

Given that the two guns have almost identical in-store cost, if you live in a state where you can buy them, and the SCCY is made with better material, feels more substantial and durable and comes with 2 mags instead of 1, it is, imho, what the KelTec P-11 would have been if KelTec wasn't such a low budget, cut-corners manufacturer.

Unfortunately for you guys in CA, it lacks several features required by the roster including a loaded chamber indicator and magazine disconnect safety.

Referring back to the OP, if you are searching for CCW sized guns the Ruger LC9 & LCR are both great guns. I have owned both, still have the LCR and its my daily carry in a Remora holster. Pretty much disappears and with the smaller boot grip on it I can carry it in the pocket of most of my pants in a DeSantis Nemesis holster. The LC9 was a bit too big for pocket carry for me. Not too sure what other really small CCW purpose guns there are that would be on the CA Roster, but I am fairly certain both of those are.
