    Do you practice?

Two weeks ago I had to have surgery on my wrist to correct a number of problems.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353312142.922238.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1353312155.045197.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1353312169.738763.jpg
So, now having only one hand functioning got me to thinking. Do you practice your draws, shooting, loading and unloading one handed?

Did someone fire 12ga slug from a flare-gun adapter?

            Ouch.

I do practice one hand drawing and shooting. And once in a while I forget to chamber a round and have to use my boot to rack the slide. This is usally because I have a rifle in my other hand.
But, I should try to practice loading/clearing jams with one hand too.

                yes.

I also practice weak hand and strong hand separately using the Creedmor position.

Yes...single hand with left or right. One never know when you only have one working hand.

Well, that's a point of view of the people who use the gun for self-defense. Not all of us do. That being said, I still try to remember to practice weak (left) hand once in a while.

Yes I shoot both left and right as well as go through one handed drills. Only thing really awkward to me is shooting lefty with a two handed technique. One handed no problem.

I always make some effort to shoot two-handed strong side, two-handed weak side, practicing the switch-over, one-handed strong side, one-handed weak side. All of the above with right eye, left eye, and my nemesis, both eyes open. I always learn something and it's amusing to watch for those who go to the range with me, LOL.

Yes I practice right and left shooting and racking. I rack with the heal of my shoe or the edge of a wall or table.

I shoot a USPSA match every Saturday, but for that operation, I would take at least 3 months off and check back with the doctor.

I had 3 corrective surgeries. One to correct a a 28 deg angle in my arm from 30 yrs ago. One to correct Carple-tunnel, and a tendon repair.
I have had 5 broken arms, 3 back surgeries, and many stitches, and this is the worst pain I have been in.
But I am really seeing how many things I would be unprepared for if I was injured.
