A lot of folks own SiG 1911's (GSR's) but you will see more kimbers and SA's because those companies have been making their 1911's for a lot longer than SiG has been making theirs.

Read the handgun sub-forum for a week and you will see a lot of SiG 1911 threads posted.

I have a pair, I like them better than Kimbers and SA's.

I Love my Sig 1911. Not one problem after 1500 rounds. I have owned a Rock Island and Kimber 1911 prior to my Sig and IMO they weren't up to par.

It is a nice 1911. I prefer my 1911s with internal extractor. Preference only.

I just picked up my Sig TacOps traditional yesterday and also got a streamlight tlr-2 for it as well. I haven't had the chance to shoot it but i have taken it apart and looked around a bit. Hopefully i get a chance to shoot it this next weekend.

Don't worry, if less people buy them, then more for me

                  I want one...I love my P226.
Researchers at the Cato Institute have reviewed eight years worth of news reports about shooting in self-defense and conclude, "the vast majority of gun owners are ethical and competent, and tens of thousands of crimes are prevented each year by ordinary citizens with guns."

Mmmm Sig 1911's handled their Spartan version last years SHOT, Got rid of my Kimbers, the only 1911s I have are SA, Wilson, Nighthawk, and Sig.

Funny. Everyone talks about why "we don't talk about sig 1911s". Thus talking about them.

No arguing, the most feature laden 1911s for the pricepoint. The front strap checkering, night sights, etc... They are great guns. Only possible drawback is their slide shape is unique preventing use in standard 1911 holsters. But, their are a slue of sig holster options I believe...

I have a XO and enjoy it. I tried SA Loaded and Kimber custom II than reside to go with Sign. Same price range but I feel its a better crafted gun.

I have a Sig TTT and a 1911 Scorpion in jail. Very accurate gun. Drop dead gorgeous too. Don't shoot it as much as I should because 1911's are a wee bit harder to disassemble and clean as compared to my standard Siggies, CZ's and Glocks (yea, who's kidding who)

I got the Sig Nitron and I have to resist shooting it so much because of the cost of ammo. It's a good gun!
