    Sig P250 CCW question.

The Sig Sauer P250 has conversion kits for different size frames, calibers, and barrel lengths, while at the same time being one single firearm. How it does this is that the metal sub frame that has the rails is the legal firearm, not the polymer frame.

Couldn't you purchase a Sig P250 full size in 9mm, serial number K12345, qualify for CCW with that pistol and place it on your permit, and then install a different sized/caliber barrel, frame, and slide? It would still be Sig Sauer P250, serial number K12345.

Is this legal? Is there any law prohibiting this?

Sorry if dupe, I searched and couldn't find it.

It's legal in TX, not sure about CA due to that state's convoluted gun laws.

CCW that I have seen, with gun informatio, have had make/model/serial # and caliber. So maybe a no. I suppose it would depend on your issuing agency.
I support the NRA, if you are not in, you can't win.

You could probably just ask whatever agency handles CCW's in your jurisdiction.
