    Which would you choose

I have two guns that I am looking at purchasing one of tomorrow. The first is a Beretta Nano, like new condition, factory box and 2 6rd flush mags for $380.

The second is a S&W M&P 9c with 3 12-round mags 1 has the pinky extension the other 2 are flat base, has some very light holster wear and has the apex sear and sear spring installed for $450

Main purpose of purchasing one or the other will be to fit into my carry rotation with my G19 and Ruger LCR.

And I would think it goes without saying, but I will mention it anyway, I am only looking for opinions of which would be the better choice of THESE TWO guns.

I would go with the Nano as well. I dont like the trigger on the M&P. Plus, they cant give you the 12 round mags for the M&P unless they take them apart first or you are LEO.

          Any particular reason why?

The Nano is a lot thinner and a bit lighter. The M&P gives you a fuller grip and is easier to shoot quickly and accurately. The Nano is shockingly accurate if you pay attention. I can actually shoot mine fairly rapidly and remain right on target with good groups, but I have a lot of time operating long, heavy triggers and it doesn't seem to throw me off.

I'd gladly carry either of these and trust them both. I can't readily conceal the M&P in my normal attire and that's why a Nano is my EDC. Carried it plenty over the summer in just a t-shirt with no issues at all. I also pocket carried it just a couple of times and it works fine that way. I don't think that would be possible w/ the M&P in most pants/shorts due to L/H dimensions and definitely thickness.

The 9c is almost the same size as the G19 with the extension on. If you can conceal the 19, I don't believe the 9c would make much difference in concealment. However, the Nano seems like it could possibly fit the pocket/IWB profile better for even deeper concealment. It's single stack and thin, which would give you another option for a BUG besides the LCR.

Well, if and when the gun ever got carried it would be in a certain attire, and I am looking at a bodyguard 380 as my pocket carry, since my LCR is a bit too big for that. I actually finally found a holster that works for my G19 and can actually conceal it wearing a T-shirt and shorts, so I don't think I would have too much of a problem concealing the M&P.

As far as the long/heavy trigger on the nano goes I used to own a KelTec P-11 which many have said has the longest and heaviest trigger ever used on a 9mm semi-auto. I doubt the Nano would be that horrible when compared with the KelTec.

What really attracts me to the M&P is that it should be easier to conceal than my Glock, has a pretty respectable capacity, with the ability for me to carry a 17rd full size mag as a backup, giving me just 1 less round than carrying my topped off G19 and a spare mag for it. I sometimes feel really handicapped carrying my LCR with 5 rounds and a speedloader, and the Nano wouldn't be much more than that.

I have read that they are supposedly releasing an extended mag for the Nano, and that it is extremely easy for the owner to swap out the sights, since having night sights is of high importance to me.

Back on the trigger, I used to own a full-size M&P and I know that they have a reputation for a gritty trigger, although mine wasn't that bad, still not as good as a Ruger SR9 or Glock trigger, I have heard that the apex parts really cleans it up, and it will come with the sear and sear spring installed, and a duty-weight trigger spring incase I find the trigger to be "too light" for a carry gun, which probably wouldn't be the case anyway, as I have a Ghost 3.5 connector on my Glock and don't find that to be too light.

Maybe I can convince the seller of the Nano to meet me at the range so I can put a few rounds through it first to decide whether or not I like it, not that it would be too hard to turn around and sell if I didn't like it, I am just getting tired of buying guns that I end up not liking and having to sell them.

The extended mags just popped up on Brownell's parts listing, along with different color frames (Flat Dark Earth, Olive Drab Green, and Pink... at under $30), but none are in stock yet. The mags are 8-rounders so we're still not talking about serious capacity like a full size double stack mag.

The sights are super easy to swap because they're held in by set screws instead of friction. Just loosen the screws, slide them out by hand (or adjust them for POI), and tighten the screws again.

The M&P9c, you already have a small CC gun for warm weather/light clothing CC.
