    P232-Sig Sauer

I am considering buying this handgun.
    Any comments?
What about Sig Sauer in general?

What for? Range? Home/self defense? Making rap videos?

I do not think I have ever seen a Rap video.
Nevertheless, this gun will be strictley HD, and for my girlfriend-is that what they are called after 12 years?
We will be moving to NM in the next year-Boonies.
      Good Girl Gun?
      Thanks for the response.
      FYI
I took Pistol cource 4 weeks ago and they had nothing but negaitive reports regarding all SS's.
      I fired @ Glocks, and a Springfield.
I have a S&W Model 39 and like the narrow grip handle.

I like Sig's only rented one. They are great guns in my opinion. I would recommend renting one at your local range.

You may want to look into a larger caliber than a 380 acp.
A 9mm or larger would be a better HD gun..380acp is better then nothing..
If you are moving to NM..wait until you get there to pick up something..
When I was there I found that at the local gun shows..you could get a nice gun without the big California price..

I have an older 230 SL, its a bit big for a .380. But it feels good in your hands. You'll have to watch out for the slide bite if anyone has a high grip. Excellent pistol, they break down abit different than most, similar to the Walther PPKS.

I have a bunch of Siggys. Great guns. Even my little Mosquito is a blast.

The sig sauer p230sl was the first firearm I ever shot! My dad gave it to my mom for her nightstand gun. It is a compact pistol that has a sharp recoil for a .380 IMO. Is is also very reliable, I remember me and my dad going shooting many times and that pistol was never cleaned. It still functioned perefectly and for a gun that size it is farily accurate.

The P230 & P232's like their big brothers, are excellent lil semi's.

.380 ammo can get a lil pricey sometimes however and extra mags aren't cheap. .
Plus remember the blue finish model is lighter than the stainless model.

                  Good luck!

I have a 230 in SS and its a good gun, but the slide tends to bite my hand from time to time, and I'm 6ft @ 180lbs. If you're stuck on the .380, I think the PPK with its nostalgia factor is a better buy.

I love mine. Make sure you add the Hogue grips. Makes a world of difference.

My wife does not like it so much. She says it's a bit "snappy."

It's a great gun. Make sure you get the all stainless version with Hogue grips. It will feel like an entirely different gun than the standard p232.

It's a fantastic gf gun. It's size and superior ergononics make it a great choice for most women. The all stainless construction will help mitigate recoil.

Great gun. It's a little big for the caliber but very slim for CCW if you or your girlfriend ever plan to use it as such.

I traded a Russian SKS for one some years back and have to say, it was a good trade. Only semi-auto I ever owner that never jammed once in several thousand rounds fired. Ended up having to sell it when I was out of work and regret doing so to this day.

Isn't the P232 blowback? If she would prefer something with less recoil a blowback pistol might not be a good choice. Often times smaller guns have more recoil than larger ones due to weight and operating mechanism.
